. The new women's clothing store is located in the new Renaissance on Main building at the corner of Main St. and 2nd St. W. Two Williston entrepreneurs are collaborating on the project; Deanette Piesik and Kim Wenko. The store will celebrate its grand opening Nov. 10 and 11 with giveaways and special offers.
Construction begins on Red Rock Ford in Williston
There might be something charming about having a car dealership in the middle of downtown, but it can also be quite limiting.
Red Rock Ford, which in June took over the space in Williston previously occupied by Select Ford, understands that very well. That's why the dealership is planning a big move.
The company started work on its new location in early November. The site is located in the Sand Creek Town Centre retail development near Menards.
Veterans Day Program Nov. 11 in Williston

New Photography Studio to open in New Location Nov. 12
The owners of Tangled Roots Photography and Kirsten Braaten Photography will celebrate the grand opening of their new location Nov. 12 from 2-6 p.m. The store is located in the Diamond Plaza next to Sears. "
Kirsten and I recently re-located to a bigger and better studio space to better accommodate our clients and provide an even more memorable boutique photography experience," said Lexi Anderson, owner of Tangled Roots Photography. "We have spent many hours renovating our new space and we are incredibly exited to share it with the public."
Developer of Lindahl Wind Farm proposing Second Project in Area
||Tradewind Energy is in the early planning stages for a potential wind farm that would be located near its Lindahl Wind Farm.
Another wind farm is being proposed in Williams County. The proposed Aurora Wind Project would be located west of the Lindahl Wind Farm. Tradewind Energy
, the company that developed the Lindahl Wind Farm, has submitted applications for a conditional use permit for six meteorological towers in the planned project area. The temporary towers are the first step to developing a full project plan, which will then require the extensive county permitting process. "It's in its infancy stages," said senior development manager for Tradewind, Brice Barton. Read More
Heitkamp tours North Dakota, Canadian Border

Border protection officers shared their challenges in recruiting and retaining personnel with Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-ND, during her visit to the Portal Port of Entry Nov. 4. Heitkamp met with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to discuss ways to improve security along the nation's more than 5,500-mile northern border. "All of our borders need to be secure,"

Richland County celebrates Economic Development Successes
Richland Economic Development celebrated a successful year with its annual dinner and meeting held at the Sidney Country Club on Nov. 1. Leslie Messer, executive director, noted how the area's economy is starting to pick back up. In a brief review, Messer said their Revolving Loan Fund had helped start or improve a total of 15 businesses which are connected to 105 employees in Sidney area. Read More

New Sportsman's Club seeks Land for Gun Range near Sidney
|The new Richland County Sportsmen's Club is seeking space for a gun range.
The new Richland County Sportsmen's Club is making strides and the goal of a first-class gun range in the area is becoming closer to reality. The club held its organizational meeting at the Elks Lodge recently. The Richland County Sportsmen's Club is now officially a 501 (c)(4) and it can begin searching for property for a gun range. The land should be at least half a section. Read More

Mattress Firm to open Nov. 19 in Williston

|The grand opening of Mattress Firm in Williston will be held from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19.
A new specialty mattress store will open its doors Nov. 19 in Williston. Mattress Firm is located in the Sand Creek Town Centre retail development next to Riddle's Jewelry. The Williston store is the seventh Mattress Firm to open in North Dakota. The others are located in Bismarck (3), Minot (2) and Dickinson (1).
